With Thanksgiving fast approaching, though some may say not fast enough, it’s time for folks to start stocking up on the essentials and planning their Thanksgiving meals. We’ve put together a guide to some of the most important items for a successful Turkey Day feast. ## **The Main Course** ![Turkey](https://blog.meetmable.com/hubfs/Turkey.png)   Thanksgiving wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without “the bird”. While turkey may be the traditional poultry of choice for the holiday, chicken is a great way to change it up a little bit and is a better option for those of us holding smaller gatherings this year. Perhaps just as important as the turkey, or chicken, itself is how you prepare it. Our Mable brands have you covered with everything from salts and herbs to rubs and injections (especially important for those venturing into the wonderful world of deep-fried turkeys). Try these products: - *[Gourmet Warehouse’s Bird Rub](https://meetmable.com/product/238089/gourmet-warehouse/gourmet-warehouse-rubs-and-seasonings?variant=124217) * - *[Spiceology's Salt Free- Pink Peppercorn Lemon Thyme](https://meetmable.com/product/219327/spiceology/salt-free-pink-peppercorn-lemon-thyme?variant=113542) * - *[Herd Nerd Spice’s Original Spice](https://meetmable.com/product/25093/herd-nerd-spice/spice?variant=43347) * - *[True Salt’s Kosher Grain Salt](https://meetmable.com/product/133987/true-salt/true-salt?variant=86883) * - *[Casa M Spice Co.’s Pecking Order Poultry Seasoning - Original](https://meetmable.com/product/220508/casa-m-spice-co/pecking-order-poultry-seasoning?variant=115312)* - *[J.Q. Dickinson Salt-Works' Appalachian Brine Mix](https://meetmable.com/product/123469/jq-dickinson-salt-works/appalachian-brine-mix?variant=84003)*   ## **The Side Dishes** ![The sides](https://blog.meetmable.com/hs-fs/hubfs/The%20sides.png?width=560&height=233&name=The%20sides.png)   While turkey may be the star of the show, it would be nothing without its supporting cast. From staples like stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, and cranberry sauce to more adventurous dishes like maple cinnamon sweet potatoes, there are a wide array of side dishes that are served at Thanksgiving dinners across the country. We’ve gathered together some of the essentials to bring these all-important accompaniments to life. This is another category where the possibilities are seemingly endless. I know, wild theory right? So whether it’s cocktails and mocktails to get the festivities started or bloody marys to nurse that Thursday morning hangover, it’s important to make sure you have your bases covered. Crafted concoctions like an apple butter old-fashioned or an apple cider mocktail mule are a great way to add some fun twists to the holiday drink selection. Our brands on Mable have everything you’ll need to put together exciting beverages everyone will love. Consider stocking up on mixers now to keep your bar section stocked through the new year.
